Rev. Erik Allen Pr. Erik was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI where he attended Kalamazoo College and majored in both history and music. Following college, he attended seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). While there he completed his M.Div with an emphasis in Biblical Studies, and served as a chaplain at a children’s psychiatric hospital in Toledo, OH. Pr. Erik served congregations in Pennsylvania and Tennessee before moving to Cumming, GA in 2014. He is married to Amy and together they have three children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, music and photography. As pastor here at Christ the King, he is drawn to serving others, deepening faith, and making disciples. His call is to enable others to discern God’s call in their lives and to accompany them individually and communally along this journey.

Deborah Scarazzo Deborah was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Titusville, Florida, and Alpharetta, Ga. She received a Bachelor of Music Degree from University of Denver and a Master of Music Education degree from Columbus State University, Columbus GA. Deborah has taught music at the college level for 13 years and Middle School & High School for 13 years. Currently Deborah serves as the Christian Education Coordinator at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Deborah teaches at Fellowship Christian School - Band/Music. She also serves as Band Director of Joyful Noise Home School Band. Deborah has two children and one young grandson. She enjoys spending time with her family and her father who lives in Alpharetta, GA. She also enjoys playing and attending instrumental concerts, and working with talented young flute students.

Kristine Macauley Kristine was born and raised in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She attended Hofstra University (NY) on a volleyball scholarship and received a BBA in Marketing and an MBA. After college, she accepted a position at GTE to be a corporate trainer and later was promoted to the Management for Corporate Staffing. She met her husband, Bill, at GTE and they were married in 1996. Afterwards, They started their own business and family in the Atlanta metro area. While raising her 2 boys, Brandon and Hunter, she became more involved in youth events such as Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts and in their homeschool community. All that activity planning and focus on God provided ample practice to become the Youth Coordinator at CTK in 2013.

Kathy Voerg Kathy was born in Encino Ca. and grew up in Marietta, Ga. After attending The University of Cincinnati, Kathy and her husband Jim (deceased) owned their first business in 1977 – Carpet Genie, a carpet cleaning company. Other businesses that they have owned were a video production company, a travel agency and a poultry farm. Through all these businesses Kathy was responsible for the finances. Kathy was raised Lutheran (LCMS) and Christ the King is only her second church home, joining in 1995. Kathy has two children, both married, and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and her hobbies include reading and plastic canvas stitching. In 2003, Kathy became the volunteer treasurer at Christ the King. In 2007 she joined the staff as Office Administrator and is presently the Business Manager at Christ the King where she continues to work with numbers, and is dedicated to walking with this community of faith and being of service to others.

John Spencer John was born in Atlanta, and with the exception of moving around with the Air Force, he’s lived in Georgia all his life. John teaches Confirmation and coordinates some of the church’s volunteers. Trusting in 1 Corinthians 12:12, John believes there is a place of service for each of God’s children. His call is to train and teach all in his charge to find and enjoy their position of service in our Lord’s church.

Dr. John Broman Chancel Choir Director Dr. John Broman was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Maquoketa, IA. All of his music degrees were earned at the University of Iowa: B.M., M.A., D.M.A. His university positions as director of choral activities have been at Dakota Wesleyan University, Loras College and the University of North Georgia (present). "Jack" came to Christ the King Lutheran Church as director of the Chancel Choir in January 1994. John is married to Tracie Heim-Broman and their son, Tres, was born September 13, 2013. Daughter Dr. Elizabeth Long resides in Athens with her husband Nathan and son Elijah. Daughter Jessica Broman lives in Dahlonega.
