Parish Support
Though we have a number of paid and part-time employees, Christ the King relies greatly on the help and support of volunteers in the office and financial areas of the parish.
Ministry opportunities include:
- Stewardship Team - Mission is to help God’s people at Christ the King grow in their relationship with God through the generous use of the time, talent, gifts, finances and blessings God has entrusted to them. Team Leader: Jack Schlea, 470-253-7290
- Audit committee - Function is to audit the church’s books, policies and procedures annually to insure the continued soundness of all financial aspects of the church. Coordinator: Mark Spraker, Council President, 706-867-7264
- Scrip committee - This team provides the congregation with the opportunity to receive gift cards at face value that have been discounted to the church. All income derived from sales goes towards paying down the principal on the mortgage. Coordinator: Scott Younghouse, 770-888-1841
- Counters - Individuals that help to make the weekly deposit of contributions in the bank. Financial Secretary: Jan Grimshaw, 770-887-4358
- Monday volunteers, bulletin helpers, mail collators – Throughout the week, help is needed in the church office for various clerical duties. Coordinator: John Spencer, 770-889-5328
