Volunteering at CTK

Posted on September 11, 2015
80 - that's how many volunteers it takes to prepare and provide three worship services and other programs each and every week. And that's just a small percentage of the total number of volunteers it takes for CTK to remain a viable influence in our community.

We coordinate these numerous weekly volunteers with Those Who Serve, a monthly schedule with weekly reminders to those scheduled; all via e-mail. The monthly schedule is e-mailed to all church members to notify those scheduled and to encourage volunteering. Take a minute to review the entire monthly schedule to learn if you're scheduled or, if you're not yet volunteering, find out where it is you might serve. If you're scheduled and realize you have a conflict, please notify the office or your coordinator right away. Three weeks out, the office will find a substitute for you. Within three weeks, we ask that you find your own sub and provide their name to the office by Wednesday at noon of the week you are to serve. If needed, the office will provide names and e-mail addresses of possible subs. We understand that emergencies happen; but otherwise please don't wait until your week to serve to notify the office of a conflict.

Speaking of subs, if you are willing to sub as a reader, usher, greeter, worship assistant, etc. and are not already on the list, we'd love to add your name. Just contact the office ctkadmin@ctklutheran.com. Volunteers ... CTK can't thrive without them. We've a successful scheduling process in place. And with everyone's cooperation, it will continue to work successfully.
